Soccer

Gage is on a soccer team. They practice once a week, down from twice a week at first. They play their games near the high school in Wharton. His age group plays on the same field every Saturday...the time varies. There are other age groups that play on 2 or 3 other fields right next to them.

I don't know anything about soccer and hardly have time to learn much. My time at the game consists of trying to keep Kate and Zane from spilling water all over themselves. All they do during the game is drink water. I usually take a beach towel or blanket that we can sit on. One or two of them are generally sitting on my lap and when Gage isn't playing, he will lean against me or Robin or whoever else might be there. There are 10 children on the team and they each play 2 quarters. The coaches pick them up and move them around like chess pieces. It's actually pretty entertaining.

Gage is on the left in the top photo. That's me, "Cookie", and Zane in the next photo. And Zane is going for the water in the last photo.
